If you'd like to improve the performance of your outdoor curling ice, we recommend applying a "pebble" to the surface before every game. This textured surface reduces the friction between the rocks and the ice surface and allows the rocks to travel more easily.
If you are on natural (lake) ice and it is already bumpy, you may not need to pebble at all. However if you are resurfacing your outdoor ice or find that it is naturally smooth, you'll find that adding a pebble makes a big difference in the ice performance.
The recommended pebble head is a medium size that should work well in most outdoor curling situations.
