Our Covid-19 Response

April 27, 2020

Who could have guessed that we'd be celebrating our one-year anniversary under new ownership in the midst of a global pandemic? We sure didn't.

Here's a few things we wanted to share with you about how the virus is affecting us.

We're In Good Spirits

We had a very successful year and are on stable financial footing. It looks likely that we'll receive emergency support through both the Payroll Protection Program and the Economic Injury Loan program, so that is very reassuring.  We are confident that we will weather this storm and come through the other side with as few bruises as possible.

We're Open for Business

We work from home and don't need to endanger ourselves or others in order to fill orders.  We know that buying curling supplies might be the last thing on your mind with curling clubs closed, but spring sales provide important cash flow for inventory restocking over the summer. If you were planning to buy equipment this fall and you have the means to do so now, please consider moving those purchases earlier.

To help make that easier, we've just signed on with a new payment option called Sezzle, which allows you to pay for your purchases over 4 installments instead of all up front.  Best of all, this is at no extra cost to you! Learn more about how Sezzle works.

May is Still Customer Appreciation Month

Now more than ever, we realize how important our customers are to us.  We planned all along to spend May each year thanking our customers with great year-end sales and promotions, and this year should be no different!  New 2020 pricing goes into effect on June 1, so watch for announcements through email, Facebook, and on our website about great offers throughout the month of May.

We're Keeping Busy

This time of year is naturally a slow season for us, but now that we've got even more time on our hands, we're putting it to good use!  We are busy with a major remodel of our mobile pro shop, getting spruced up for another season on the road.  (Next time you talk to Paul ask him how much fun it was to jack a 30' trailer off its chassis!)  When she's not working on year-end sales analytics, Darcy has been sewing masks and has donated over 200 to healthcare workers. If you're in need of a mask yourself, she also has them for sale in her Etsy shop.

We Miss You

The abrupt early end to the curling season left us feeling isolated and alone, like everyone.  We truly love your phone calls and emails, and hanging out in curling clubs as we take our mobile pro shop on tour.  We can't wait until the time when we can safely return to whatever our new normal will be.

Until then, we wish you good health and Good Curling.

Darcy and Paul
