The business end of the Saber incorporates the proven Excaliber head and the popular oval pad. You throw using the Excaliber head, and flip it over when it's time to sweep. No longer do you need to carry two devices, the one you need always being at the other end of the ice! The Excaliber delivery component provides a clean and accurate release, whereas the nylon pad provides effective sweeping. The handle is 1" fiberglass. Unique 2-in-1 device. Love this all in one design! It makes it much easier to only keep up with one piece of equipment if you're a stick curler. The broom head is a little bit heavier than some other standard brooms, but I knew this when I ordered it, as I'd used an identical setup at my club. If you're only a temporary stick curler, you have the option to replace the head with a different model when you go back to sliding out.
